Tim Cahill injury will leave him out of Australia’s match against Thailand
The 36 year old attacker Tim Cahill is not going to be able to perform against Thailand for Australia’s upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification match which is scheduled to take place on November 5.

Even with the absence of Tim Cahill, the Australian national side is still the favorites of winning this approaching match as they have been in an impressive form after defeating Iraq, United Arab Emirates and drawing with both Saudi Arabia and Japan.
In these 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying stages, the Australian team is at this point in time undefeated and are expected to come out on top against Thailand, a national side that has been struggling and have lost all of their 4 opening 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches that they have played against Saudi Arabia, Japan, United Arab Emirates and Iraq.
The head coach of the Australian national side, Ange Postecoglou has stated that even though Tim Cahill is nearing the 37 year old mark but despite being the oldest player in the entire national side and in spite of this recent injury of Cahill, he is still going to continue playing an important role for Australia as Ange Postecoglou said:
‘’He is still very important for us. It's really important that he has a strong A-League season. The games he has played in the A-League, I would be very surprised if people say he hasn't had an impact."
Tim Cahill has recently been spending more time on the sidelines for Australia as it appears like his influence with the national side is not as big as it used to be some time ago but Ange Postecoglou did re-affirm Cahill that he is still in the plans of the 51 year old manager.
