PLAYERS WATCH: AUSTRALIAN PLAYERS ABROAD ROUNDUP
Some Australian players across Europe had fine outings for their various clubs over the last week. In their impressive win in the Scottish Premier League, Martin Boyle notched in a goal for Hibernian Football Club. Aziz Behich also made a tangible contribution in his outing for his club after grabbing an assist, setting up his teammate for their only goal of the match in the Turkish SuperLig.
Boyle was the man of the match after his tremendous display as he and his Hibernian teammates brushed aside an underwhelming Motherwell team in the Scottish Premier League. The match ended 3-0 in favor of Hibernian, and Boyle was the star of the show after a brilliant individual performance.
He opened the scoring in the 59th minute after firing in a powerful shot into the back of the net following a beautiful team play which involved some sweet passing.
He then further added two goals to his tally to ensure that he mounts pressure ok the top three teams in the league.
Tom Rogic was also in action for his Celtic side, getting involved in 68 minutes of action before finally being brought out in the 1-all draw against St. Johnstone.
In Turkey, another 1-1 draw was played out. This time, between Turkish outfits Kayserispor and Goztepe. Behich starred for the former being his team, as he helped his side warn a draw following his assist which led to his side's only goal of the game.
Pedro Henrique was the scorer of the goal from Behich'sassist in the 73rd minute, but a slip up saw them concede a goal just thirteen minutes later to end the game in a stalemate.
A Genk side featuring Danny Vukovic defeated Royal Antwerp 4-2 in the league as they continued their winning stream, stretching to seven matches now. They now top the league table after earning themselves 31 points from 15 games so far this season.
