ELEVEN CLEAN SHEETS
Tim Howard recorded his 11th clean sheet of the season during Everton’s victory against West Ham United. Romelu Lukaku scored the only goal of the entire match but it was just enough for Everton to secure the triumph and climb to the 6th position of the Premier League.
Romelu Lukaku has scored 10 goals for Everton in this season which has helped the club on getting into the top 7 spots of the Premier League but the Belgian forward is set to return to Chelsea at the end of the season.
The Chelsea player has become an important figure for Roberto Martinez and Everton and the coach has already stated that he will try to keep Lukaku on a permanent basis but if the Belgian forward is not able on remaining with Everton, they will have to look around in the transfer market.
The American shot-stopper, Tim Howard is confident however that Roberto Martinez has the ability to recruit players so he isn’t worried if Lukaku is unable to stay with Everton.
"The one thing with all good managers that Roberto Martinez shares is that he has a belief in his own ideas and his ability. If Romelu Lukaku has to go, or Nikica Jelavic has to be replaced, I think he believes in his ability to recruit players. So I don't worry about that." Howard revealed.
Howard also hinted at a possible move to the MLS at some point in the future of his career.
He said: "It's something I'd like to do. It would be a transition that would interest me, whether that's playing or working off the field. The timing would have to be right." Howard added.
When the time comes for Everton to replace Tim Howard, they already are preparing themselves by keeping close tabs on Levante’s Keylor Navas who has been attracting the attention of a number of Premier League clubs.
