Cahill Rumored To Be On Radar
The Australian icon Tim Cahill is rumored to be in the radar of a few Premier League clubs such as: Sunderland and Queens Park Rangers. The veteran forward enjoyed going through a fairly impressive campaign during the recently concluded World Cup and this has sparked the interest of a number of clubs but most of them hailing from the Premier League.
Tim Cahill became the first Australian that has managed to score in 3 consecutive tournaments after he scored against Holland and he simply was one of the more consistent players for his country. Cahill already experience playing in the Premier League as he is a former Everton player and a return to the top tier English league could happen during this transfer window as Cahill has expressed his desire to reunite with some of his friends and former teammates who play in England.
Jason Davidson is an Australian defender who also made a fairly impressive campaign during the 2014 World Cup and his series of standout performances motivated the Premier League club West Bromwich Albion on signing him with a contract of 2 years but the 23 year old defender revealed that his colleague Tim Cahill played a huge role in the transfer.
‘‘I’m very close to Timmy. During the World Cup, I obviously had other offers on the table, and Cahill said from day one he wanted me to go to the Premier League. He was telling me that if I get the chance to come to the Premier League, then to take it. It’s a great league and he’s been very successful here. When West Brom came along and negotiations started, I told him about that. He was with the coach Irvine at Everton and he only had great words for him. He said it was a very good club that has a lot of potential and it gives youngsters a go. That’s what you want. He was definitely somebody that really persuaded me to come here.’’ Davidson told reporters as he was talking about the influence that Cahill had in his latest move to West Bromwich Albion.
