Cahill on Australia team
Tim Cahill believes that the Australian team is improving after a tough period.
He said things have become difficult ever since they were beaten 6-0 by both Brazil and France and that a change was needed in the team.
He feels that ever since Ange Postecoglou has taken over the team, he has brought fresh life to the team and that the team is now progressing.
Tim Cahill who is now 37 years old has been part of the team that was beaten by Brazil and France, and he feels that the team has been on a downward spiral ever since. He said that as a team there is a standard that you need to keep and he felt that this was not there during that period.
He believes that Ange Postecoglou has done a great job with the team and that he has rebuilt the confidence of the players. He feels that the team is now progressing and that the players believe in themselves now.
Australia will be playing in a friendly match against Brazil before leaving for the Confederations Cup. Tim Cahill believes that this will be an excellent opportunity to test themselves against world class players and to find out how much they have progressed.
Tim Cahill said that his objective is to play in what will be his last World Cup and that he is determined to keep his place in the team. He said that age is just a number and he feels that he can still contribute to the team whether it is on the pitch or in the dressing room.
