AUSTRALIAN CLUB INQUIRE ABOUT TOTTENHAM DEFENDER'S SIGNING
It is expected that there would be a couple of changes at English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur this summer and it is set to be a busy summer for the London club. One of the major decisions that the club's owner Daniel Levy has to make is whether or not he will be appointing a new manager to replace current interim boss Ryan Mason. The young manager was an understudy at the club but was chosen to be the temporary manager at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium after the sacking of José Mourinho some weeks ago.
It is reported that Levy has been in talks with a couple of options including Leicester City manager Brendan Rogers as he looks to find a suitable managerial replacement at the club. Also, it is expected that there will be an array of incomings and outgoings at the club in terms of players, and that could also spark a change of events.
One of the players that have been linked with an exit is Gareth Bale . The Welsh winger is not expected to make his loan move from Real Madrid a permanent one and will return to the Spanish La Liga giants when his loan deal expires at the end of the season.
Another name that has been linked with an exit from the club is Toby Alderweireld, with the defender nearing the end of his current deal at the club and a new deal not forthcoming. The 32-year-old has attracted interest from Australian club Western Sydney Wanderers and could be swapping England for Australia next season.
The long-serving Tottenham defender has been tempted by the offers Sydney have tabled for him and if they are able to convince him at the end of this current season, he could be on his way there this summer and could be playing his football in Australia next season as well.
